Global Fact-Checking Research

This pre-conference convenes research on fact-checking practices and organizations around the world, with an emphasis on regional and comparative work, as well as studies of the wider global movement. Themes highlighted include fact-checking standards, values and practices; institutionalization and governance in the field; and the influence of stakeholders including platform companies, transnational institutions, and governments.
